I don't think people dislike the government so much , but just the dumbass's running it . I know, we elect them. But its only from the group that money decides who is in that group.

I always get a kick out of people railing against the gov't... set up by the Constitution, which they claim to worship. Uh, yeah.

Or like when we invade shithole countries like Iraq and Afghanistan, what did we try to do (and failed)? Set up a strong central gov't and provide things like infrastructure and healthcare.

Back on topic, do Americans inheriantly hate government, no I doubt it. Are Americans bootlickers, who wholeheartedly trust everything government says, f**k no. Why would they?

In the last fifteen years, I've see my government lie our country into a war, torture, run a secret surveillance program, drone innocent civilians across the globe, bail out banksters who almost plunged this country into a depression, use government agencies to punish citizens for speech, and a host of other bullshit, and yet I'm not supposed to not mistrust my government, and not be skeptic about what they have to say, really???
