I wonder if the president could just "draft" these types of citizens into the military, where they wouldn't really enjoy any of the due process rights afforded to other citizens? I can see why he didn't since he can just do it anyway, but would that not be a fool proof way, legally speaking, to execute US citizens abroad without a trial. Or at least in a close military trial?

Drafts are through lottery though, aren't they? Or can the President selectively draft people?

They do it by looters but they choose from a draft pool established by the SSS. I guess they could do a draft pool of 1. Actually seems way to complicated now that I think about it.

That was the problem with the draft. Rather than forcing citizens to join the military, the lottery system should have deal with citizenship. Your number comes up in the lottery and you forfeit* your citizenship, then there's no dilemma with forcing you to fight. And then afterwards when you have a bunch of homeless vets with PTSD and drug addiction problems, we don't have to feel as bad about it. After all, its not like they're American cit0izens.
