Confederate legacy

What is confederate legacy to you? We all know the Confederacy is a controversial issue, connected to slavery and social injustice. However it became a part of our mutual history and therefore cannot be discarded. Do you think present-day Americans could have learned something from the South? Ability to defend their interests and political rights, fight for freedom and their own land, intolerance to federal oppression, to name few. There is no need to be ashamed of our history, I believe. We better learn from our mistakes and never repeat them, embracing positive experience.

The Confederate Legacy lives on in the south today. It remains a vile and backwards cesspool.
