Ive seen these cars around town. One almost hit 2 pedestrians stepping off a corner cub when it wanted to turn on a red into their path as I watched form the stopped lane. The autonomous car seemed to start stop then start again as if it confused by the situation. The walkers jumped back onto the curb and the Waymo continued on. Maybe the test driver took over from the computer just in time?

If you take the time to look up the rates of traffic accidents from human drivers as opposed to the robotic ones...you'll find that merely getting a machine to drive better than a human is a damned low bar indeed.

If the machine gets hacked, a virus or whatever, can it be charged with impaired driving?
The hardest part of doing nothing is knowing when your done.
