Of course this is why, because like every other big industry, if you have enough money the U.S. gov't is there to represent you over its citizens.
If this idea wasn't crystal clear before this, you may recall during the Bush years that people figured out importing prescription drugs from Canada was way cheaper so of course Congress sprung into action to put a stop to that.
And the reasoning? Seriously, it was: safety issues. Right! Because importing drugs from a third-world hellhole like Canada is probably unsafe!
Of course the Obamacare program is nothing more but a transfer of wealth--again--from citizens to corporations, which in this country are insanely counted as... people. Why do you think there's nothing in it to ultimately control costs? When you offer a gov't program to insure everybody but with no caveats as to cost, that simply means you and I are STILL paying whatever the providers charge, either directly or with our tax dollars. Either way, the money comes out of our pockets and goes to them.
You may also recall that under Bush we got the heinous Medicare part D, where a law was passed in which the United States gov't was not allowed to negotiate prices of the drugs it provides for seniors. Just think about that for a second.
The best part is when all the tea party morons start up with how Obamacare is all about "socialism." NO, it's all about what our gov't has been about for more than a decade at least: corporate tyranny and domination of U.S. citizens, policy and the legal system.
