I agreed with most things, except armed guards and no restrictions, because I don't oppose them.

However, only one of those things will truly curb the type of violence we see with "senseless" killings (mass murder, fathers killing families, moms killing kids, etc.) - mental health solutions.

Do you guys believe that, based upon the poll results, it is fair to consider mental health restrictions and crime restrictions, as well as ending the WoD, as "universally accepted?" Should they be added to the OP?

Felons already banned.

Waiting period for a pistol, perhaps. But with proper licensing, why the wait?

All measures presuppose they will prevent crime.

But with all of that in place, crime will still occur and with the guns and people, that no one wants them to have.

What would be more productive and effective, is to devise ways to trap criminals and loons, that is not aimed directly at criminalising law abiding people.

It's not our fault.

Double the amount of cops on the street. I could go for that. Ending the farce on drugs would be a good way to pay for that.

I can no more find common ground with people who try to pre-empt my right to self defense than I could with someone who wanted to remove my freedom of speech.

It's the same thing. Personally I consider it a form of evil.
