NYT outgoing editor claims NYT is liberal biased

And folks, the term is "biased". Not "bias".

And all media is biased in some respect. The very act of having editors makes that inevitable; all forms of news have someone who chooses what to cover and what not to cover. The issue is whether or not that bias leads them to misrepresent the facts. In the case of the far right Fox News, this is exactly the case, to the point of labeling Republicans as Democrats when they finally get caught. I haven't watched CNN in years because I found them to be biased as well. Not necessarily to the right or to the left, but biased in terms of choosing to be flaky and sensationalist instead of choosing to take their role as a news source seriously.

On the other hand, the Christian Science Monitor is a fine paper. One of the few.

Well I like The Economist but I agree that I could do without the smug self-satisfaction that some get just from reading it.

I haven't read the NYT in a while but I'm not too surprised. As Rev said, outlets pander to their customers.

Also, as Mr. Bill said, it's a tad amusing that it's Ozzone of all people complaining of media bias. Ozzone, buddy, you use Fox News as a legit media outlet. You should probably sit this conversation out.
