Medicare should be the national program. Why? Its already in place and collecting money. It could be reworked so if you pay in (most do) then you have access to it. The fat cat for profit middle man will go kicking and screaming when/if they are ever removed from the loop though. So be ready,lol.

Well that's who turfed that idea anyway and may I remind everybody that the guy who authored the ACA is pretty much in bed with the insurance industry?

Originally Obama was pushed by his supporters to go all the way and propose single-payer but of course the insurance industry is not going to release their grip on us so what we got was basically a law where everybody has to buy insurance from them.

Which is really a kinda/sorta solution, among its other problems.

To be fair Mr. Bill, DWBH and all the other TP people warned us about this years ago: in between waving signs of Obama-as-Hitler and stating there was no way the Muslim Atheist was going to impose Sharia as long as they own their gunz--they TOLD us, they told us, bro.

They said: "You pass this bill... and the website will have issues."

And while I was trying to listen to that the person next to me was saying "You give them people healthcare next thing you'll be givin' em cellphones too" and my God I wonder what he thinks now that we give 'em four--FOUR!

The thread is about the CURRENT problems on the 3 week old site.

MS OS roll-outs always have problems.. As does Apple's updates.. And yes as I posted in 2006 the Part D site took MONTHS to fix, and yes that bill was signed in 2003... Yeah that's right, 2-3 years BEFORE it went into effect and there was all sorts of glitches and bugs then too.. It's too be expected with ANY large program, OS, site, upgrade, etc.. No one, not even a great Messiah and president that can walk on water like Obama can foresee all the problems and glitches beforehand.

Happy and his types will NEVER give any credit to Obama for anything. Can't change people like him.. Don't even try..

Equally absurd is declaring everything a disaster because the website's a mess three weeks in. Let's abandon everything because of a... tech issue.
