A tax is revenue for the gov't. That's what it is. Income taxes are for roads and bridges, sales taxes are for schools and such. That's a given. Obamacare TAX is to pay for Obamacare (presumably). So how is this so complicated? It was ruled a TAX by the supreme court which some liberals here seem to worship. Yet when its pointed out that if it's a tax, it wasn't passed legally through the normal channel of bills that contain taxes, suddenly it's not a tax or not THAT KIND of tax.

Make up your minds.

Last time.. ACA is not a bill to generate revenue, AND there are precedents anyway of other cases that ruled that certain bills/taxes ARE exempt from the originator rule of the HoR because they were NOT bills to generate revenue.

I'm not a lawyer so I have no idea where to look but I'll bet there were probably already challenges to Obamacare based on this premise that have already been shot down in a lower courts. Being how rabid the GOP and their foaming at the mouth lemmings are to shutting down ACA I can't imagine there hasn't been court cases already. They probably filed cases the day after the USSC ruling.

Here we are in 2013 and after 41 times and one threatened government default (which blew up in your faces) your new idea is to... Try and repeal Obamacare yet AGAIN. If that doesn't define the complete and utter insanity of the tea party I don't know what does.
