The drop in oil is going to be devastating to Russia but they have enough leverage to weather the storm as half of Europe is struggling and is no position to be taking risks while their economies are stagnant.

Depends on the length of the storm. Medium term the price of oil isn't going back to $80 pbl anytime soon. We're looking at years and OPEC battling our own boom.

plus russia is already burning through their currency reserves, their bonds are junk status, and they're already slated for a multi-year recession assuming nothing gets worse.
