TL;DR the teachers password was his god damn last name and was stupid enough to let kids watch him type it in to his computer so the kid logged in when the teacher wasn't looking and changed the background to two guys kissing to annoy him.
and now he's charged with a felony.

legal discretion exists for exactly these circumstances though. plus, the charges don't really, ya know, fit.
