i never supported the OP's argument. i was explaining why it's wrong to discount people's opinion simply because they don't know any of those who are in that very small minority known as gay couples who have children. it's like saying if you don't know a syrian you can't comment on ISIS. it's moronic, and it's a fallacy called the fallacy of anecdotal evidence. then i pointed out how gay people themselves could also say the exact opposite of whatever your gay buddies say, invalidating the stupid claim that anecdotes matter anyway, and that it will invariably give the same results
i think that if you could figure out the incomes of the parents, and then find comparable straight couples, you would find a better analysis as to which is better, as adoptive parents are likely quite well off
