Well I was just talking about revenge, not robbery and all the possible things that could happen while a LEO is off-duty. The revenge fear thing I think is very overblown, while I don't disagree with you overall with a LEO carrying off duty.

Non has a prosecutor ever told you they specifically stay strapped for fear that someone getting out is gonna come for revenge? Never heard of such a revenue attack happening but I wonder how much prosecutors worry about it.
