I agree, but at the same time I think it's important to remember him so that we remember the pain and anguish of the civil war. Americans fought Americans.
idk I kind of feel like you guys (trolling or not, most likely trolling) are being revulsed by the Confederates the same way you would Nazis or Communists. I certainly don't think that is the case.

But tearing down statues or something is just revisionist BS. The war is so far over and so out of everybody's minds that they serve as nothing more than an area where we can remember the Americans that were killed during the civil war. You see a statue of Jefferson Davis and it should remind you that we once had a civil war and that we fought people to ensure all Americans were free, and as a reminder that this country won't be broken and we'll fight to keep it together.
