he obstructed congress by ordering the executive branch to not comply with congressional requests for data and for witness testimony. this allowed congressional republicans to claim there's no "direct evidence" (when there is) since all this data hasn't been seen. they cry about how it's an "unfair" "trial" when this is at most akin to a grand jury finding reason to file charges. the trial is upcoming. i just hope moscow mitch doesn't turtle up and immediately call for a vote to close the whole thing with a simple majority. or hell, maybe he should. we'd have a mighty fine constitutional crisis on our hands then. and hell, we'd get to see justice roberts' face as it unfolds in front of him
