Phos, genuine question here: why did you decide to post? Republicans have run Texas for quite some time. There were many opportunities to adequately prepare the grid. Extensive reports and recommendations were made, and then not followed up on. This is the fault of Republicans and of the government run by Republicans.
Yet for some reason you seem to think that criticizing Republicans for this issue, which is their fault and has had lethal consequences, is boring, unnecessary or banal. It isn't any of those things. The reality is that Republicans and conservatives have lost their f**k minds and no longer track reality. Texas Republicans have literally voted to secede from the same federal structure they are now receiving aid from - in some particular cases, after voting to deny emergency aid to other states.
All of this can and should be condemned.
