This is just getting ridiculous. Should be noted though that there are a lot of other carriers either in development/currently building or in reserve. France and Britain both have some fancy new ships in the works.

lol that was such an embarrassing war. Thatcher coming to reagan purse in hand BEGGING for that US intelligence / logistical support. Brits are helpless in terms of power politics, the indian navy could take them down I bet.

True. My big problem is with where the savings goes. Before huge military cuts, I'd like some sort of framework assuring that the savings goes somewhere other than down the bottomless pit.

This is why I keep mentioning. If any cuts to military spending are to be credible the U.S navy is going to have to take a pounding.
