Domestic violence takes the form of psychological intimidation, slapping, biting, clawing, etc. If a man is violent, he is likely to inflict more damage, but women commit offenses more often.

I don't really feel like there is a "war on men", if that is the point of this.
Do some women of high rank in academia hate men, and does this personal prejudice inform their political leaning and message? Probably, but the numbers are not significant enough to indicate a social trend, just enough to fuel anecdotal speculation. .
