It'all be sparked by US aggression against the DPRK. China will see the writing on the wall and engage in widespread military mobilization to pick up the tremendous loss of economic activity as trade continues to unravel.

What happened to the Chinese middle class that was going to boost demand?
Anyways, I agree it will probably be East Asia, although can't rule out the possibility of multiple theaters.
Baltic States are back in the Russian orbit, and Europe's unlikely to go to war over them, but perhaps if Russia over-extends in another place similar to Ukraine?
Of course, there would have to be another hegemonic power with expansionist ambitions, and kudos to Germany it seems the wind got knocked out of them after WW2.

Chinese middle class keeps saving as much as possible. Still don't have great state safety benefits and even native born Chinese are only allowed to stock their money away in certain areas of the economy. Anybody read about the new city being built just outside Singapore? It screams housing bubble of epic proportions...
