boomers are all "i got mine, so f**k you"
I have a gangilon cyst in my hand. It's actually annoying because when I grip (thankfully left hand and I'm no sinister) it hurts as it's on the base of the index finger, palm side. You can't see it, it's deep. Well it annoys me enough I looked into getting it fixed. I went out to my providers website to find someone. The website said $320 out of pocket ($0 covered by insurance because I have not hit my $1500 deductible because I'm a normal person) to get it drained. I go to get it "drained" and asked for that, instead I get x-rays and an ultrasound to confirm "yep it's in there!" and then told because it's so firm they can't aspirate it, and they don't do that anyway because it's bad and I should get it removed. I have to go to another appointment with another guy... I just hope this will actually have the simple surgery on it done when I see him as opposed to seeing the guy so I can schedule another appointment with him. It's like they are trying to bleed me dry. It's gonna cost me a lot of my bonus now I expect, but hey, I'll meet my deductible so now 70% is covered. I still can owe literally thousands of anything bad happens to me. f**k my insurance is horrible.
I complain about this shit to my dad and he doesn't care. He has Tricare, which is about as close as you can get in this country to single payer, but because he earned it no one else should get it, according to him. I got mine, f**k you

My life has become a single, ongoing revelation that I haven’t been cynical enough.
