Oh you're right. My mistake. Only 15% of guns traced in investigations were legally owned and 7% of guns used in crimes were legally purchased.
I don't understand the concept on gun saturation. Can you explain more? It seems like simple logic that if there are 300 million guns it's easier to get one through a friend or family member without going through a background check than it would be if there are 5 million guns. What is this saturation point you mention and how does it play out in reality?
