It was turned down without comment, so the best anyone can do is speculate. On first glance, this case seems like a bad one since it's brining two issues into play: the ban on corporate spending and the disparate treatment of corporations when compared to unions. Seems like if the court did take case they would have to decide several substantive issues which isn't something they want to do right on the heels of mcCutcheon. After all, it' took 4 years since citizens for mccutcheon to come down. The court isn't in a rush.
