Israel is 5M people surrounded by 300M delusional religious arabs who have a penchant for war and about as much love for jews as the nazi party. We back them to keep them from being put in a corner. Because if they are put in a corner and isolated then at best they will start geocoding the Palestinians and at worst start nuking other countries.
Unfortunately for the rest of us, these semites are hot headed. You have Israel, who to this day we know will lash out with WHATEVER is necessary to protect their state, and a bunch of idiots arab dictators, half of whom think allah will protect them from a nuke and the other half who think a nuclear apocalypse is allah's wish anyway. it's not a good mix and I don't mind paying bloodmoney to either party to ensure their little squabbles remain little squabbles.
