my understanding is that he had "fluctuating debt in the thousands". i got the distinct impression that they were adding up all his credit card charges over the course of over a decade rather than stating the largest amount of debt that he ever carried.

i never did receipts for my games either.

i don't know what to tell you other than if he was lying about this he shouldn't be on the court and if he goes on the court he should be impeached for it. but if what he says is the truth and i see no reason to think otherwise then it's what he says

If I was waiting for 25-35 minutes I would say "you kept me waiting for half an hour". If I was waiting for 36-46 minutes I'd say "damn near 45 minutes!". If it was 47-55 it would be "the better part of an hour" and if it was over 55 I'm calling it an hour

So no. I do not accept "better part of two years". "Over a year" is half acceptable but only if you are not talking about stalling the nomination, but rather the emptiness if the seat. "Almost a year" is acceptable if you are talking about stalling the nomination.

That "stalling" tactic was use of the majority. This stalling tactic is to try and delay the vote long enough by bringing up stuff that can't be disproved since it was when he was a freaking child in order to try and get it stalled past the midterms so that they could have a majority and then they would stall for over two years (but not the better part of three).

Galt, it's over. You can pull your skirt back down and dry your eyes. The simple fact is we both know that seat sat empty for the better part of two years because Republicans collectively sprayed their waspy fecal matter all over the constitution and waited the last administration out. It was f**k shameful and outrageous, and we need law to prevent it happening again. Because at this point, after that bullshit was gotten away with...anything goes.

As for the rest of your complaints about majorities and midterms and whatever else....tough. The GOP crossed the line beyond all decency and respect for the law and now they're just going to have to f**k cope. Reap what you sow.
