Let me preface this by saying "I'm not being mean or arrogant" or whatever, NAB. And you know I love you more than my luggage, but, that statement,
I've run a D9 before Mo,
No, you haven't even "run" a dozer, much less "Operated" one any more than I designed my home furnishing and happen to have a beautiful and comfortable home make me an architect. In fact, didn't you say you were "behind the wheel" of a dozer even though dozers don't have a steering wheel and no dozer hand would EVER say that, EVER!!! Fact is, you were allowed to play with someone's machine while they hoped to hell you wouldn't f**k it up so bad that it would cost them a day or two's pay if you screwed it up. You haven't "run" much less "Operated" equipment anymore more than I have "styled" much less "Designed" a home of my own.
I have
OPERATED DOZERS!!! Along with loaders, scrapers, hoes, draglines, etc, etc, etc. I'M f**k HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR, Bitch!
Ya, that blade is scary and in the way when you first get on one, but once you get going and learning and paying attention to what you are doing, you quickly realize, that blade is actually smaller than the front bumper of the Toyota Celica that brought you to work at 4:00 this morning. Seriously, the windows on equipment is floor to ceiling of high strength glass designed to sustain a hit from boulders twice the size of most cars that could come barreling down the interstate in your direction.
Seriously, if I ever know someone is within the range of my machine being able to hurt them and I continue to operate that machine and they get hurt by it, IT IS MY FAULT FOR NOT SHUTTING DOWN!!! Period. End of Discussion!!!
