it's not "dumb" at all. the party is full of democrats so it's not incorrect, and it makes people like that rage which makes it worth it. of course, the name "democratic party" was once a form of ridicule (simply because democracy is awful) itself. they took it upon themselves, similarly how their symbol is literally The Ass. i could call them a bunch of asses
