the marines are pretty much an anachronism now. they have a good PR campaign and that's about it. the army excels at everything the marines were created to do so there's really no need for them.

do you? the marines were created to fight on the decks of ships and stop boarding. then they were used, kind of, for amphibious landings.

the first thing is irrelevant now and the second one will likely never happen again and if it did we wouldn't need the marines for it.

i don't need to have been in either to know about either. they aren't exactly super special elite clubs that i'm not privy to.

the army develops and buys most of the equipment that eventually trickles down to the marines. the same goes for the navy and the air force. so, obviously their budget is smaller.

As for doing things and costing less...lol? there's fewer marines, obviously they would cost less to deploy.

you can't honestly be serious with these.
