Guys, really. You're not going to arrive at concensus. There are SOOO many variables, it's impossible to say what is what. In some areas, $250k is a huge amount, because the average is $25k. In other areas, $250k is just about middle-of-the-road. If you spend $250k per year, you will appear rich. But, if you spend $100 and save $125k, are you any poorer? What if you invest that $125k back into a business?

It is absolutely hilarious to see someone argue that a person or household making $250k is barely any different than a typical middle class person/family.
