Well that's a whole other thread, but another issue which fascinates me endlessly and that is: Obama basically is Reagan/Bush policy-wise (save for Obamacare)--so why is he inaccurately portrayed as such a lefty/socialist?

Or is it that they realize the further you keep pushing him to the right by complaining about how he's Hugo Chavez II what some people will consider "left" by that point is what you wanted all along?

You're right about that. It's been with some amusement that I listen in recent years to people who can't invoke Reagan enough completely blast ideas that he would have supported (and did).

People like Newt Gingrich and McCain were totally for end-of-life counseling as a cost-saving measure until it was offered under Obamacare, at which point they staunchly opposed it.

Good ideas Eynon--pretty much agree with all. I would add breaking up the TBTF banks once and for all to safeguard whatever gains we do make so we don't get plunged into a hole again (we will if we don't).

See--how hard was that?
