That people will always strive for something better or different is not a valid objection to socialism, as if we accept it as true, it applies to capitalism as well, or any other ism you'd care to talk about.
All you are doing is repeating the idea that people can't be made homogeneous. We get it. Which is exactly why any system that hopes to succeed will be democratic, and will change with the times or fail.
I don't get why you think everyone has to be on board for a political system to function. That has never been the case in human history, nor will it ever be.
