This thread should've ended with a simple yes. Vaccines are important when it comes to viruses that arent hyper-mutable. For example, Polio is not a virus that is going to change so much that a vaccine wont be effective.
However take the Flu. Now that bugger keeps changing. So when you get the flu vaccine, you get the most common strain from last flu season. Statistically, last years big strain is most likely the one that will affect the most people this year as well. Now does that mean thats the only strain? Of course not. But you're playing the odds.
Lastly, the whole "oh i got sick after getting the vaccine" complaint. No schit sherlock. Youre SUPPOSED to. Its supposed to give you a mild version of the illness so your body can make antibodies so the next time you get effected by that strain, your body will have the proper antibodies to fight it a lot quicker and more effectively.
If you dont want to get the flu vaccine, fine. But Polio, MMR, etc those you NEED to get
