Still, I think your time in the industry has clouded more than clarified your perspective on health care. As a fairly well-off person who is already a moderate capitalist, I think you have allowed ideology to dictate your opinion more than facts. Because, as far as I know, there has never been a functional for-profit health care system anywhere in the world. Whereas I can point to at least a half-dozen mixed or socialized systems that perform better, have better outcomes for less money, and provide universal coverage.
Innovation, by the way, still happens in these countries. Canada has an impressive list of innovations, for instance.
