So again, what does the Army do that the Marines cannot? Other than the occupation of other countries because of their bloated size? The answer is nothing. You could get rid of the Army and the military would be perfectly fine. We could go ahead and scale down the size of the Navy and Air Force too. The whole military budget is ridiculous. I'm surprised you are arguing for it.

I'm still trying to figure out what these things that the Marines do better are

all i've gotten so far is "better trained" which isn't really saying much. I'd actually go on to say the US infantry is more well trained, considering budget, training opportunities, etc...
