As to particular groups of people in particular roles...its only a matter of discrimination if the number who are selected are misrepresented relative to the number who apply.
If 50% of the applicants are women of equivalent qualification but only 5% get the job, you've got a nice 90% rate of sliminess.
Do we know that's the case with CEO jobs though, for example?
