Sure, I'm with you guys in thinking zero tolerance is nonsense. I get that. But a kid being forced to punch a kid indicates a systematic failure to properly address the problem. Violence is sometimes necessary, but as a last resort. It should never be allowed to get that far, not in a school, and not anywhere else for that matter.
