Anyhow,
We can keep pretending to prop up the "national" government of Afghanistan but even at the height of our military presence I don't think there was ever one unified central power that controlled the entire geographic area we call Afghanistan. That place is hopeless as that's concerned and I think keeping some bases near Pakistan is the only worthwhile reason not to completely withdraw.

It's not that I'm surprised by these people, it's that their brought on to the tv/radio shows to air their thoughts totally unchallenged.
No matter how much of a liar/discredited fraud you are nowadays, you can find a friendly venue that will broadcast your opinions without irony.
THIS I believe is what is leading us down the path to hell politically (well one huge factor at least).
