The DNC doesn't have half the power they did a generation ago. They were ready to coronate Hilary in 08 and look what happened. Yes, they want Hilary to be the nominee this time but that hardly settles the matter.

When betting on who the next President will be, the smart money would be betting on . . . someone other than who is in the lead 2 years out. Sure, when there's an incumbent, you might know half the equation. But, when it's open like this? I think it's safe to say that whoever is leading today, will not be leading in a couple of years.
Heck, even if Hillary IS leading today, and IF she's leading again in 2016, then she'll have some point in-between where she'll fall precipitously and have to recover. No one remains popular for 2+ years in an election cycle.
And, if she does . . . then even I'd vote for her. (Full disclosure, depending on who the GOP candidate is, I may have to hold my nose and do it anyway.)
