You're thinking of an ISP like you're thinking of a traditional utility service. It's fundamentally different, but needs to have some of the same rules as regular utilities applied.
Because frankly, your comments aren't making a lot of sense, and appear to me as though you don't really understand the issue at hand.

Well, many people in the country care. AT&T and the FCC care. The president cares. Lol. It's a predatory business model. You'd have to be like, a super retard to think that allowing these companies to do what that link explains should be permissible. I don't like to name call, but really you'd have to be an idiot to think that because of how obviously bad that is for everybody in America, including content makers and web companies, to let ISPs throttle traffic they don't like. Especially when people don't have many choices for ISPs.
