Demanding the president not enforce a particular law, while refusing to even comment on whether congress should take it off the books (what is the point of a law that is never enforced?).



It's not a right or wrong thing, I'm just trying to figure out what your position here is. Do you think congress should take it off the books? I know you think Trump shouldn't prosecute. But if you think he should not prosecute, then why should the law be on the books at all? Congress should simply ensure it is not a crime, so that the president, any president, CANNOT prosecute, even if they wanted to. Wouldn't this be the better solution?

Go ahead, hide your head in the sand. Like I said, it's not a right or wrong thing, but its clear you cannot come to grips with the logical conclusion of your policies. After everything that Donald Trump has done, said and tried to do on immigration, Saz and Galt acting like this is a good faith attempt to uniformly enforce immigration laws is insane. Donald Trump isn't some fair arbiter of justice, simply doing the task set before him by Congress and the laws of your great country. He gleefully ignores some of the most important asylum laws while ruthlessly enforcing others... it isn't justice, it is the most rank and disgusting kind of gutter politics.

I mean, Christ, everybody knows that meaningful immigration reform is not on the books at this time. It is impossible given the divide between the Democrats, the Republicans and the general public. The fact is that a fair amount of Republicans support kidnapping children from their legal parents and running a government-enforced trafficking ring as a punishment for crossing the border illegally. Their parents will be sentenced to six months in prison, fined, and then deported. Given a free hand, that is exactly what they'd do - Saz has basically said as much already.

These values are so out of whack with basic morality, Western tradition and American values, they cannot be treated as mere differences in policy. Shame is right. As for those pretending that DT is the man to do this job, give your head a shake. You are defending the most blatant form of idiocracy the modern West has ever seen.
