On this particular topic, yeah anybody who thinks that is an idiot.

Cable TV is not even remotely close to the Internet. I can't sit in my house and sell shit on cable tv. It's not necessary for communication or commerce AT ALL.

And if the ISPs don't like the regulations, they can just close shop. Somebody would be happy to take their place.

You know you don't have to deal with them now, if you don't want to. Like I said, it's their ISP. You want to screw over their stockholders and investors because you feel entitled to making them provide you service.

Well I'm still paying for the service. The difference is they don't get to hold the entire country hostage to make more money. If they want to compete with content providers, they can do it fairly and offer superior services and content. If they can't do that, they don't get to f**k everybody over instead.
