The problem is everyone, up and down the medical line, has to make millions of $'s, or in the case of the large corporations, make billions of $'s in profits.
The doctors make millions, the lawyers make millions, then the medical equipment makers, the HI companies, the drugs companies, etc..they all have to make billions in profits.
Joe Shmoe goes in for a 2 day stay in the hospital to have his appendix taken out.. There's a lot of people and companies in line to make a profit off of his stay in the hospital, and his follow up appointments and prescription drugs for his recovery.
I'm not against profits, or anyone making a good living.. God bless em. But in the medical field, because there is absolutely NO competition, nor will there ever be, PLUS the fact everyone makes a HUGE profit.. That equals very high prices.
