Trying to control surveillance is a rather shameful act of ignorance on the part of the voting public... it has been going on for a very long time, with ever increasing capability, and legislation isn't going to control it. The only thing we can control are the overt acts of privacy invasion and the trampling of rights that inevitably are committed by less-than-competent members of a given surveillance team...
