The reason these weapons are being brought up is because this is a pretext for "humanitarian intervention" and subsequent invasion and will also give a great excuse to invade Iran, if they take action to assist Syria. If they don't take the bait then they will surrounded on all sides by either US occupied territory, puppets, or allies.

Iran is chewy candy center in all of this.

This is a deliberate setup of the same folks we had to end up fighting in Afghanistan after helping them.
