GOP Really Has Become Party of Insanity

Well of course the GOP have always wanted us to be a one party state--never moreso than now. If it's not white conservative America, then it's not an America worth having.

Problem is, that one party is becoming the... Democrats. And what awesomeness they've shown us since Obama first stepped in!

Plus, a party unopposed; i.e., a party that fears no consequences come election time--is only going to continue to do bad things.

I'm really thinking that only some third-party solution is ever going to break this (yeah, I know that the media will try and negate him/her from the outset as "fringe," a pipe dream, not having a chance).

Good article. Couple of things to note--the whole introduction of the "tea party" into all of this is arguably what began an already accelerating slide by the GOP into just total ideological insanity.

-Who in their right mind allows 40+ votes to repeal Obamacare since it was passed, even though this achieves nothing? That shows right there that Boehner has no control over his zombies. I remember posting about how he had allowed an incoming class of reps a couple of years back to have their own vote on Obamacare so they too could say they voted against it--the legislative equivalent of some dad taking his teenage sons to the whorehouse so they could wet their dipsticks for the first time. THIS is what we do with our time in the U.S. Congress?

-The whole exercise is simply one of futility: the House can repeal Obamacare all it wants--it will never make it through the Senate or past a veto. So, ask yourselves: we're paying these guys $170,000 a year to be legislative necrophiliacs?

-These bozos are the textbook definition of "extremists" because they refuse all compromise--and when they don't get what they want, they put the country into a hostage situation.

-I see this week that their big new plan is to slash food stamps by billions. Yes, let's keep pumping billions/trillions into Afghanistan and failed projects like Iraq (or subsidizing banks and corporations) but all those people put out of work by their cronies on Wall St.? F*** them, they need to get a job. (Pssst... guess how many people on food stamps... have jobs?)

-Aaaaaaand. on top of all that embracing the anti-science, anti-reproductive rights zealot ideology while ceaselessly race-baiting over blacks, Muslims and Mexicans (and of course, gays).

THIS is America? These guys are, simply, put, a cancer. That has already became terminal for the GOP--let's hope it never escapes to a wider swath of the country.

What's equally amazing is that while you have a party literally eating itself, you have an equally ineffective and impotent president in Obama. He should be making fools out of these bozos and drinking their milkshake--yet as usual he is dithering somewhere irrelevant.

Most experts and political pundits thought after the losses the GOP took in 2012 they would moderate.. But no, politics and hatred trumps intelligence in the current GOP.. Stupidity rules in the Republican Party.

Today Bohner and the rest were 'celebrating' the 42nd time the House voted to defund Obama care..

Whats was Einsteins definition of insanity? "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

I think this current GOP infighting serves the Democrats well. I agree with the scenario that the Senate will strip the defunding of Obamacare out of the CR and the House will refuse to pass it. This is where the Democrats could score a big win.

Boehner is not leading his caucus and is hostage to the Tea Party so a government shut down and maybe a default is likely. If there is a default the Republicans will be blamed for it like they were for the 2011 US Debt Downgrade. In the end, I think Boehner with some rational Republican support and the Democrats will pass a CR with Obamacare Funding and then a civil war will breakout within the GOP Conference.
