Bill Nye on creationism:

That was great. I really enjoyed watching Bill Nye try to describe creationism in a pleasant way. You could see him begin to loose his patience, want to say it like it is, fumble around, catch himself and say things like "completely untenable." He, like me, is clearly just baffled that there are people so goddamn ignorant and so happy to be stubborn in their ignorance.

"Your worldview [within creationism] just becomes crazy..." Yes it does, yes it does.

Of course he is right. Scientific ignorance severely retards technological advances and advances in all fields generally. Stubborn, dogmatic ignorance doesn't spur technological innovation. Scientific knowledge and methods coupled with an open-minded and free creativity are responsible for innovation.
