I think what Mogli is saying is that women nowadays tend to have more advantages when it comes to, like government help- such as the legal system for example in which the judges automatically assume that children of divorces must only belong to their mothers even if the father is more capable of being a better parent or that women automatically get a massive share of whatever the husband earns when going through a divorce. Also stuff like women claiming false rape which results in the imprisonment of innocent men just because they are women, etc. I think she has good points- courts and other government agencies like cops must view women as capable of making false accusations and not give them any bias. Yes, I agree the pendulum has swung too far in the West when it comes to giving women equal rights to the point that it is now men who are being treated unfairly in a number of circumstances.

That's the problem though. There are now so many incarnations of feminism both as social movements and in academia that it's amorphous and impossible to define. Emerald can come in here and swat down anything she doesn't like by saying it's not what real feminism is about but this thing has splintered in so many ways, who is to say what is and is not feminism anymore?

For me, I don't worry about being anti-feminist or anti-anything else. I know what I'm for and I don't need to define myself in a reactionary sense by describing my philosophy as anti-someone else's philosophy.
