Yeah, it's really bullshit journalism when they say a legislature is "considering" something just because a bill was introduced. Until it at least gets a committee hearing they aren't really considering shit.

And, many legislators will "file" a bill just to satisfy some constituent.

Regardless of how fast it's going, it's a stupid idea and a waste of time. Firing squads? Pffft. Maybe we can bring back the gas chamber.

The electric chair never went out of use in a handful of states. Did you know that, because I've never heard you railing against the electric chair before today.
Also that is Tennessee. The firing squad bill was in Utah and Wyoming so you're still wrong/sensationalist about that.

I still don't understand why we don't use some industrial guillotine. Put the person in a sealed chamber with no windows, strapped to a gurney, the machine removes the head, then sends the body out the other end. I don't think there is a more humane way to kill a person.
