Versus what alternative? I realize that the people who get "stuck" in such fields have made decisions that led to their predicament, but I just don't see why they should be paid a wage that is anything but livable because of it/them.

So, work 60 hours a week, as earlier proposed, then have any energy left at all to work a second job and/or go to college? Does.not.compute.

why are you so opposed to your fellow citizens being able to, at the bare minimum, earn a wage that they can live on without having to rely on government assistance?

I only mentioned family because I thought it was important to. WOW! A liberal who is understanding of FAMILY VALUES!! I have no children and am single. I agree that one should be established before they have children. I notice that that is the only part you addressed, though
