Unfortunately I think it's often worse than just being terrified of the world. I think a lot of these guys went out and spent money on a gun and now they're hoping for a reason to use it.

As a legit firearm collector and target shooter I would never consider bringing a rifle into a restaurant. Its simple consideration of the patrons fear in seeing something so out of the ordinary. Those guys are impolite and foolish looking.
