Embarassed but too stupid to just quit, she flips her hair, declares the group immature, and storms off.

Meanwhile, her poor boyfriend just sits there, unsure whether to chase after her - thus humiliating himself by acquiescing to childish, socially inept bullshit - or apologize for her behavior, thus subjecting himself to at least ten minutes of heckling about his choice in dates.

So he says nothing. Feeling bad, the group orders another round of pitchers and does it's best to forget about the whole thing.

Then when they get home, she'll blame the entire issue on him.

The next few nights are rocky, but eventually they come to a truce. But deep down, they know that the relationship is over. They are just dragging it out. He doesn't want to be the guy who gives up over a pub argument, and she doesn't want a guy who isn't a raging, bleeding, malleable weakling, a man enslaved to the base instincts of the stupid sex.
